Prospective doctoral students, postdocs and visiting scholars interested in working with me are encouraged to apply at any time. The requirements below apply regardless of whether you are looking for regular employment, you plan to apply for a scholarship offered by e.g. the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), or you bring your own money. No special security clearance necessary, beyond what might be needed to get a visa.

Required qualifications:

• MSc degree (or equivalent, giving access to doctoral studies) in Mathematics, Systems and Control, Computer Science, or a related field. Students about to complete their MSc will also be considered.
• Strong theoretical or mathematical background, and a strong interest in dynamical or control systems.
• Programming skills.
• Efficient communication skills in English.

• CV with photo.
• One-page cover letter. Please focus on the relation of your interests, qualifications and experience to the research of my group.
• University certificates and transcripts (both BSc and MSc degrees).
• Contact details of up to three referees.
• English language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, or GRE). Waived in each of the following cases: a) English was the only medium of instruction during both your Bachelors and your Masters studies, or during at least 10 years of your school education. b) You have attended school in Germany for at least 10 years.
